NILS began lending in 2009 and became a registered charity in 2013.
NILS purchases essential items direct from local, small businesses on behalf of people experiencing financial hardship, who then repay the loan at zero interest over a maximum of 24 months. This puts money into the local economy and helps prevent people from being burdened by high interest loans they cannot afford.
NILS has grown steadily and now has offices in Tenbury, Ludlow, Leominster and surrounding areas.
We are supported by charitable donations and by those who give their time for free as volunteers and trustees in return for the opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of people who are struggling financially.
